When we buy a Chinese mobile we hope everything works like a charm, but the reality is quite another. Especially if we intend to root it, we can find some problems like the computer does not detect it. We will see how to install the Android MTK driver in windows that will be useful for any of the MTK series.
The first thing we will need to install them, are the drivers for our Chinese mobile phone with the MTK processor. These drivers can be downloaded from here.
How to install MTK driver in all windows
Installing Android MTK driver is easy. Let’s read.
Delete all previous drivers
The first thing is to make sure that we do not create any conflict with the drivers that we are going to install. For this we will check that we do not have any other Mediatek driver installed on the PC:
Download the USB Device application and run it
This program shows a list of all the drivers installed on the computer. It allows you to uninstall them one by one. If we find a driver related to Mediatek, uninstall it by right-clicking and selecting “Uninstall selected devices.” Restart the computer.Free download Xiaomi USB Driver
Open the device manager
We will give the windows key or the start menu and write device manager. It should appear in the list, and we have to click on it.
Install drivers manually
Once here we will click on the name of our team in the branch of devices, and then we will give actions> add hardware. Another window will appear.
Now we will have to follow some steps choosing the manual form and the installation disk. We will give it to next.
Install the driver manually
As we do not have the device connected and we have some drivers to install ourselves, we will choose the second option, and we will give it to the next one.
Explore the driver
We will give you to explore, and we will go to the desktop folder where we have the drivers for our system.
Select the drivers
Depending on our 32 or 64-bit system, we will choose the first or second file with the drivers of our terminal.
Install the MediaTek drivers
To finish the process, we select the driver to install, and we give it to next. Once the MediaTek DA USB VCOM Port is installed, we will have to follow the whole process again to install the following MediaTek PreLoader USB VCOM Port.
Open the Windows device manager, click on the name of the PC (the object from which all devices, screen adapters, network adapters hang, etc.) and go to “Action -> Add legacy hardware.”
- Click on “Next” and “Install the selected hardware manually from a list (advanced).”
- We leave marked “Show all devices” and select “Next.”
- We are going to “Use disk “and ” Browse.”
- Find the drivers folder and locate the inf and usb2ser_Win764.inf files. If you have a computer with Windows 7 superior, they are in the Win7 folder.
- If your device is 32 bits, select the inf file. If it is 64, then usb2ser_Win764.inf.
- In the next window select “MediaTek PreLoader USB VCOM Port” and “Next.”
If everything has gone OK, a message will appear indicating that this hardware was installed correctly. When installing the driver, we will get a code 10 error. It is a normal error since the certificate is not digitally signed.
At this point, we would have the installed drivers, and we could start flashing the terminal with SP Flash Tool and our favorite ROM, install a custom recovery, etc.

Install an unsigned driver in Windows 7
Windows 7 blocks by default the drivers (drivers) not signed, which prevents the installation of these. Therefore, if you have problems with the operation of a hardware component and you need to download an unsigned driver, you will have to deactivate the verification of driver signatures temporarily.
This installation of Android MTK driver is enough to detect any terminal of the MTK series. So, if you have a MTK device, you should also work. In case of problems do not stop putting a comment and we will try to solve them. Download the driver from here and don’t forget to share.
